Shatta Wale and Sarkodie

Ghana’s premier music video awards scheme, MTN 4sytetv Music Video Awards 2019 was touted to be a very remarkable night in Ghana’s music history. Considering the fact that, this year’s edition marked its tenth (10th) anniversary, the night was anticipated to be nothing less than magnificently HISTORIC.

Moreover, billing three of Ghana’s finest headliners Sarkodie, Shatta Wale, and Stonebwoy, the night was also projected to achieve what the 20th VGMAs could not realize with the three acts.

Meanwhile, the night did not fall short of any of those expectations as it was studded with several breathtaking performances. Sarkodie set the tone for the night with his pace-setting terrific opening performance. Other performers who immensely thrilled patrons included Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale, R2bees, Medikal, Kwaw Kese and the likes.

Interestingly, Shatta Wale dedicated (literally gave) his Most popular song award to Stonebwoy. Prior to that, Stonebwoy gave Shatta Wale an emotional hug during his performance, when Shatta Wale was spotted upstanding enjoying Stonebwoy’s performance. These two gestures they say amplifies the fact that their beef exists not anymore, as Shatta Wale voiced “the beef is officially over”.

However, the big winners for the night were Shatta Wale and Sarkodie, bagging 5 and 3 awards respectively.
