Sista Afia and Freda Rhymz squashed it up on UTV?
Sista Afia and Freda Rhymz

Sista Afia and Freda Rhymz after their nearly physical encounter at TV3’s premises, met again yesterday on UTV’s United Showbiz. Though this time around their meeting on the show seemed more of that of a mutual agreement, things nearly went out of hand again due to the exchange of words between the two.

Nana Ama McBrown, the host ushered in the show with the diss tracks of the three parties to the musical beef, Sista Afia, Eno Barony, and Freda Rhymz. However, Eno Barony was not present because, she turned down the interview due to the presence of both Sista Afia and Freda Rhymz. Other panelists on the show were Bulldog and Arnold Asamoah-Baidoo. Who also engaged in a very intense argument over whether or not Sista Afia should have fully understood the rap game before engaging in it.

Moreover, the most controversial part of the show was the heated exchange of words between Sista Afia and Freda Rhymz. The tempers of the once very good friends seemed very over the top. As the two went on attacking themselves verbally, which though seemed to be escalating into something physical, they both had a lot to explain.

Sista Afia and Freda Rhymz

Sista Afia disclosed that the only thing that got on her nerves was the fact that Freda Rhymz mentioned her name in her diss song. She explained that was a dent on her brand and considering that, she did not mention her name; Freda should not have gone to those extents. Sista Afia added that she threw indirect shots but they were not directed at Freda Rhymz. Therefore, if Freda Rhymz just wanted to hop on the hype of the beef, she should have at least called her before doing so.

Meanwhile, Freda Rhymz also argued that since Sista Afia mentioned ‘Saa Chick No’ in her ‘You Got Nerves’ diss song, it was a direct shot at her. Sista Afia debunked Freda’s claims, which even reignited their argument. The jabs at each other went so far to the extent that, Freda Rhymz at a point even attempted to walk out of the show. She angrily got up to go and Bulldog, seated next to her had to forcefully hold her back to sit.

Nonetheless, though the exchange of words almost went bizarre, Nana Ama McBrown tried her best to bring them both to book. To that effect, Sista Afia during the latter part of the show rendered an apology to Freda Rhymz for all that occurred during their beef. However, Freda Rhymz refused to also apologize to Sista Afia back, though admonished by Bulldog and Nana Ama McBrown to do so. She explained that though she has accepted Sista Afia’s apology, she has not done anything wrong to apologize to Sista Afia for.

Finally, as they drew the show to an end Freda Rhymz admitted how Sista Afia’s beef has greatly helped her gain the attention she has been yearning for and thanked her for that. Far from the initial verbal attacks the characterized the show, the show ended in quite a rather peaceful note.

In view of this, we ask. Have Sista Afia and Freda Rhymz just squashed their beef?
