The crowning moment for Ghana’s version of Miss Planet International, Miss Yaa Asantewaa was due. The contestants had to battle it out at the grand finale for the ultimate crown.
The grand finale took place yesterday at the GRNMA conference hall, Ejisu krapa. The contestants had to give in their very best in this climaxing grand ceremony.
The Red Carpet
The ceremony began at 6 pm with a red carpet session, which saw an exceptional display of fashion. Rocking the red carpets were the past queens and runner ups, past and current contestants as well as other high profile personalities. Queen Tiwaah (Winner, Miss Kumasi Metro 2018 and 1st runner up of Miss Golden stool 2019), stirred the affairs on the red carpet as the host.
However, the main show started off with a beautiful display of culture from each of the contestants. Afterward was the fashion display, where each contestants had to hit the runway with a glamorous display of fashion.
Meanwhile, the final round, which was the question and answers session saw two delegates being evicted, thus TIWAAH and ASANTEWAA. Leaving four delegates, AMADIE, YAA, SERWAAH and NANA as the finalists.
This session saw the contestants answer to random questions, based on which, plus the results from the culture and fashion sessions, the winners were decided.
Finally, the moment of truth came and Amadie was crowned the winner. Yaa, Serwaa, and Nana were the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd runner ups respectively.
Amadie, the winner received a cash prize of GH¢ 2,000.00, a washing machine, two brand ambassadorial deals, a one-year free wardrobe for all events and finally, a chance to represent Ghana at the Miss Planet international.
The first runner up, Yaa got a cash prize, a fridge, a 6-month wardrobe for all events and a chance to represent Ghana at the Interglobal beauty pageant.
Whilst the 2nd runner up, Serwaa took home a washing machine, a cash prize, a 3-month free wardrobe for all events and finally an opportunity to escort the 1st runner up to represent Ghana at the Miss Interglobal.
Moreover, Amadie and Yaa you are queens already, go make Ghana proud on the international stage.
