The show had its longest extended broadcast yesterday. The show got too prolonged than usual due to the special guest for the night, Shatta Wale. The latest edition of the UTV’s United Showbiz was arguably the most anticipated show for that Saturday night.

Other panelists for the night’s show were the ace broadcaster, Abeibu Santana, along with the usual Bulldog and Arnold Asamoah-Baidoo. The dancehall multiple award-winner, Shatta Wale whose music career was the main topic for the discussion had a lot to reveal.

The early parts of the show, saw Shatta Wale answer to why he has never collaborated[he featuring them] with any female musician in Ghana. He attested to the fact that he has never done so. However, he explained that it is because they[female acts] never had the vibe he needed for his songs. Thus, they needed to sound more hardcore than their usual selves in order to make the cut.

Meanwhile, they also discussed the genesis of Shatta Wale’s music journey, with Abeiku Santana and Shatta Wale himself being major parties to that discussion. There were also heated arguments about the privacy and copyright issues of creative persons. Discussion of awards and award schemes was done, IRAWMA, BET Awards, and the VGMA were the points of focus. The controversies surrounding the sacking of his SM Militants were not also left out.

Shatta’s beef with Sarkodie

However, the most interesting part for many, I believe was the part about Shatta Wale’s obsession with musical beef. The discussion, right from Shatta Wale’s beef with Samini was then narrowed down to his most recent one. The feud between him and multiple BET award-winning rapper, Sarkodie.

Shatta Wale apart from explaining what was actually the root cause of the beef, also noted that they have begun ironing things out. Moreover, when Nana Ama McBrown, the host put to him a question from a social media comment about when he was planning of squashing the beef.

The dancehall crooner responded stating that, he has no problem with Sarkodie. Also adding that he may even feature him on his next album, Gift Of God.
