Shatta Wale finally reacts to being banned by the Ghana Gaming Commission


Earlier this week, there was a statement from the Ghana Gaming Commission, announcing it’s new guideline that bans celebrities from advertising for betting companies.

Following the announcement of the ban, several celebrities have reacted to it, expressing their displeasure with the decision. One of the hardest hit by this ban, Shatta Wale, who was already advertising for Bet Planet has finally also reacted.

Shatta Wale reacts

The dancehall award-winner was seen in a recent video reacting to issue, where he also expressed his disappointment in the decision. Shatta Wale stated that it is very sad that the government agencies have decided to extend the ban from advertising alcohol to betting. He also added that he was disappointed in his colleagues in the Ghanaian creative arts industry for sitting down for this to happen.

However, he noted that though the ban may not affect him that badly, he can not say the same for his colleagues. For which reason, he advocates that Ghanaians must wake up and stop the unfair decisions made against Ghanaian celebrities.

Moreover, just like Wendy Shay did yesterday, Shatta Wale also admonished his colleagues not to be indifferent about this issue. Thus, they should not act unconcerned about the issue like most of them did in the case of alcohol advertisement ban.
