In less than 24 hours of declaring his support for the LGBTQIA+ community in Ghana via an Instagram post, Michael Essien has now deleted the post.
The former Ghanaian international striker yesterday posted that they see, hear and support the LGBTQIA plus community. The community must be accepted in Ghana because Ghana supports equality.
His post was in solidarity with the 67 globally influential personalities who wrote to Ghana’s president, asking him to protect Gay rights.
However, hours later, Essien has taken down the post, as it can not be found his Instagram handle anymore. Why did Essien delete the post? Your guess is as good as mine.
Though Essien has now deleted the post, you can check out what he posted below.
