Gloria Sarfo questions why Davido would perform at the World Cup but no Ghanaian billed to perform.
Multiple reports indicate Davido would be performing at the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 closing ceremony. He has been billed to perform at the world cup after missing out on the opening ceremony and the Fan Fest.
However, in reaction to the reports actress Gloria Sarfo questions why no Ghana artist was billed to perform. Thus, why is none of Ghana’s musicians performing despite Ghana’s qualification to the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, but Davido?
Moreover, she wondered what was special about the Nigerians, or Davido for that matter, for him to be considered over Ghanaians. Thus, since Nigeria did not qualify for the World Cup but Ghana did, it is only fair for Ghanaian artists to share in the glory.
Nonetheless, Gloria Sarfo noted she’s happy for Davido because hard work pays. Regardless of that, Ghana qualified for the World Cup and must be given the needed representation on the global stage.
