GNPC collaborates with KNUST Obuasi SRC for a Scholarships Seminar

The Student Representative Council(SRC) of KNUST Obuasi SRC collaborated with the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation(GNPC) to organize a Scholarship Opportunities Seminar. GNPC Foundation’s Team Lead for the Education and Training Unit, Mrs. Shirley Aboagye Aniagyei Amoah was the facilitator for the program.

The seminar organized in collaboration with GNPC Foundation took place on Friday, February 10, 2023 at the school’s Hangar Auditorium. The program saw a high turnout of the students of the KNUST Obuasi campus. Though normal academic activities continued unabated, students still made time for the seminar, juggling the two. With just a few days to the deadline for this year’s GNPC Foundation Scholarship applications, the timing for the program could not have been any better.

Moreover, the Team Lead for the Education and Training Unit of GNPC Foundation extensively examined the various scholarship opportunities available to Ghanaian students. She discussed amongst others Mastercard Scholars Program, GETFund Scholarships, Ghana Gas Scholarship Scheme, and MTN Bright Scholarships.

The look into these scholarship opportunities in Ghana also considered the levels at which they are available. Thus, some are available at the undergraduate, postgraduate, and Master’s levels of education. She also noted some of these scholarships offer opportunities for students to study abroad.
