Undoubtedly, the biggest news today is Nana Ama McBrown joining Media General’s Onua TV as host of the Onua Maakye morning show. The news took many by surprise as little did many know she would leave Despite Media and UTV, where she hosted United Showbiz.
The top celebrated Ghanaian screen goddess was welcomed into General Media with a grand durbar. Though the grand welcome ceremony of Nana Ama McBrown led by the Onua TV team became the talk of town, the sad life story of hers she shared shocked many too.
According to the award-winning actress, she was deported from the USA back to Ghana in 2001. This was after her uncle took her abroad for the very first time via the erstwhile Ghana Airways. She recounts she was deported not too long after she arrived in the country, shattering her dreams of a life abroad.
Moreover, Nana Ama McBrown’s deportation from the USA was also the beginning of the toughest moments in her life. She narrates even her family denounced her back then, so she had to move away from them to start her life from scratch.

The now award-winning TV personality made these revelations for the very first time in an interview with Captain Smart during her Media General welcome ceremony. This was aired live on Onua TV and TV3 earlier today.
