Black Sherif beats Sarkodie to become the highest nominated Ghanaian hip-hop artist at the BET Hip Hop Awards.

The reigning VGMA Artiste of the Year recently become the artist with the most nominations at the BET Hip-Hop awards. This was after he got nominated for this year’s edition of the awards.

Black Sherif was nominated in the Best International Flow category for the second consecutive time after losing out on the awards last year. Aside from being the only Ghanaian artiste to be nominated twice in the awards, he is also now the first to be nominated twice in a row.

He now beats Sarkodie as the record holder for the most nominations. However, Sarkodie holds on his title as the first Artist in to win the Best International Flow award, when the category was introduced in 2019. Also, he is still the first and only Ghanaian artist to win the award since Black Sherif could not win it last.

Nonetheless, the young chap had the nod for the award again this year and he hope he wins it this time around. For the record, Sarkodie still has unbeatable records at the BET Hip Hop Awards.

The only question now is why Sarkodie has not been nominated for the award(s) again after winning it in 2019.

I rest my case.
