Ghana DJ Awards 2022 Full List Of Winners, DJ Vyrusky wins big.

The 2022 edition of Ghana’s biggest DJ awards scheme, Ghana DJ Awards took place last night, November 5, 2022. This year’s edition dubbed the 10th Ghana DJ Awards was held at the Silver Star Tower.

All the Ghana DJ Awards 2022 winners were announced at the awards night. The night also saw performances from Black Sherif, Obaapa Christy, Keche, and Amerado, amongst others.

Speaking of the award winners, DJ Vyrusky won the biggest award for the night. For a record of 5 times, he won the DJ of the Year. Check out the full list of winners of the Ghana DJ Awards 2022 below:

Shatta Wale vanishes from Hogbetsotso Festival concert, fails to perform.

Ghanaian dancehall giant, Shatta Wale was billed to perform at the Hogbetsotso Festival concert, Hogbe Beach Rave. He was in the Volta Region for the concert but disappeared afterward leading to his failure to perform at the show.

In an apology statement released by the organizers, Onua Group and Ebony Condoms explained what happened with happened Shatta Wale. According to them, Shatta Wale showed up at the concert venue but disappeared afterward. As they agreed, he came in cars rented by the organizers, but could not be found after his arrival.

Moreover, as the crowd waited, the organizers looked for Shatta Wale, but all to no avail. He is yet to be reached to answer for his sudden disappearance from the concert venue.

Their statement read:

“It is in view of this that we wish to apologise to the audience and customers who travelled from far and near to see him perform at Eli Beach and to the millions who stayed up late to watch him on Onua TV.

Onua brands, Ebony Condoms and all other brands and sponsors associated with the Onua Hogbetsotso Beach Rave wish to thank all the other artistes who honoured their obligations to show up and perform.

The brands connected with the Beach Rave will find ways to compensate the patrons who showed up at the event.”

Meanwhile, Shatta Wale was the headline performer of the Hogbe Beach Rave, a Hogbetsotso Festival concert. Following which’s contractual agreement he showed up on Onua Maakye with Captain Smart on Onua TV, only to fail to perform on the day.

Onua Hogbe Beach Rave was slated for last night, November 5, 2022, at the Eli Beach Resort in Tegbi.

Davido’s dead son’s autopsy confirms speculations.

The news of Davido’s son, Ifeanyi’s death moved many to tears. Fans and celebrities have been pouring out their heartfelt condolences to Davido and Chioma’s families.

Initial reports of the boy’s demise indicated he drowned to death in his father’s Banana Island house. Further reports indicated several of Davido’s home staff including Ifeanyi’s nanny were picked up by the police for investigations pending an autopsy.

Nonetheless, the final autopsy confirmed Davido’s son died by drowning. The autopsy by the Lagos Police Command reveals the initial speculations were true.

Lagos State Police Command spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin disclosed details of the autopsy result to PREMIUM TIMES.

“The autopsy was concluded yesterday; it determined that the cause of death of the late Ifeanyi Adeleke was drowning. Presently investigation into the events that led to his drawing is still ongoing,” he said.

Moreover, he noted the autopsy was mainly to set the path straight for further investigations. Thus, they are now digging into the issue to ascertain what led to the Ifeanyi’s drowning.

Hushpuppi begs not to be sent back to Nigeria after jail sentence in the USA.

Popular Nigerian socialite and social media sensation, Ramon Abass, popularly known as Hushpuppi on November 4, 2022, has been sentenced to 11 years in prison in the United States by the United States Central District Court in California.

Hushpuppi despite being sentenced to 11 years in prison, will, however, do only a 9-year term as he has already spent two years in jail.

Hushpuppi lived a lavish and expensive lifestyle on social media, flaunting his cars, accessories and other luxury items he owned, attracting the attention of many and even celebrities and popular footballers.

Hushpuppi, in his trial, pleaded with the presiding Judge of the case, Judge Otis Wright to hand him a lighter sentence and not send him back to his country, Nigeria. He also commended the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) for doing a good job in bringing him to justice and apologised to his family.

According to reports, Hushpuppi was cooperative during the investigation period and has been on his best behaviour while in jail.

In June 2020, Hushpuppi was arrested by the Dubai Police on the account of extensive fraud schemes that robbed victims in countries like the US, Qatar, the UK and other places
of their money and properties. After his arrest in Dubai, he was transferred to the United States, where he was slapped with an 11-year jail term after pleading guilty to all the charges.

Former Twitter CEO, Jack Dorsey launches new social media platform.

Jack Dorsey, the founder and former CEO of the microblogging website Twitter, has launched a new social media platform called “Bluesky.”
This happened just a week after business tycoon and owner of Tesla cars, Elon Musk,took over ownership of Twitter.

Dorsey’s new app, which is in its testing stage, already has over 30,000 people signed up for its beta testing within two days of the announcement.

According to Business Insider, Bluesky’s website stated that the new platform gives creators independence from platforms and developers and the freedom to design, allowing users to choose their experience.

Dorsey co-founded Twitter 17 years ago and briefly served as its CEO. He returned as CEO from 2015 to 2021 when he resigned.

Meanwhile, Bluesky has announced a number of job openings which include mobile application developer, react native expert, animation creator, and UI site manager.

According to Kemi, Chioma aborted the pregnancies because the babies were girls. So since she wanted a boy for Davido, she kept aborting the females. This was also because she needed a boy who could inherit Davido’s wealth.

Moreover, as proof of what she was saying, Kemi noted that she was the first to announce Chioma’s pregnancy and the baby’s gender. This was because her investigations showed Chioma was carrying a pregnancy. This was later confirmed to be true. She also knew it was a baby boy because Chioma would have aborted the pregnancy if it was not a boy.

However, unfortunately, it did not go as planned, as Chioma’s hard-earned son for Davido is dead now. She went on to disclose Davido also abandoned his baby-mamas and in some cases, denied the children.

Hushpuppi sentenced to 11 years in prison

Hushpuppi sentenced to 11 years in prison.

Ramon Abass, popularly known as Hushpuppi has been sentenced to 11 years for internet fraud and money laundering.

Considered by some as a socialite, this once highly entertaining and controversial personality has finally been dealt a sentence after months of a seemingly lethargic legal proceeding.

The United States Central District Court in California sentenced Hushpuppi to 11 years but disclosed that he would only be jailed for 9 since he has already done 2 years thus far.

Hushpuppi was arrested in June 2020 by Dubai’s police force in the United Arab Emirates, over an extensive fraud scheme that has robbed victims of their money in the U.S, Qatar, the United Kingdom, and other places.

11 other suspects were taken in before he was quickly extradited to the United States and handed over to the American Federal Bureau of Investigation.

It was widely believed that his luxurious lifestyle which he flaunted on social media led to his arrest. However, the same content he put out made him a social media sensation.

He hit notoriety status after his arrest, and more people took an interest in him, with some references made in pop culture and rights to his story being sought after by Nollywood.

Following his arrest, he pleaded guilty to defrauding several people and institutes and pleaded with US Judge Otis Wright to give him a light sentence, and not send him back to Nigeria.

He was said to have been very cooperative with the police during the investigation following his arrest and was said to be on his best behavior scoring high in cleaning activities while in prison.

It is unclear which jail he would be sent to, but he has spent the last two years at the Metropolitan Correctional Centre in Chicago, Illinois.
