Adidas joins Balenciaga, ends partnership with Kanye West

Adidas joins Balenciaga, ends partnership with Kanye West.

Adidas AG is ending its partnership with Ye following a rash of offensive behavior from the rapper and designer that turned a once-thriving shoe brand into a lightning rod for criticism.

The German sports company said it’s cutting ties with Ye, formerly Kanye West, with immediate effect, confirming an earlier story by Bloomberg News. The company will take a hit of as much as €250 million ($246.5 million) to net income in the current fiscal year.

“Ye’s recent comments and actions have been unacceptable, hateful and dangerous, and they violate the company’s values of diversity and inclusion, mutual respect and fairness,” the company said in a statement.

Adidas will terminate the partnership with Ye, end production of Yeezy branded products and stop all payments to Ye and his companies, it said.

Adidas joins Gap Inc. and Kering SA’s Balenciaga fashion label in severing links with Ye. The rapper has made controversial statements, including antisemitic social media posts in recent weeks, and has moved to cut ties with his corporate partners. Ye couldn’t immediately be reached for comment.

Adidas shares, already weighed down by the controversy, fell as much as 4.5% in Frankfurt trading, reaching the lowest since 2016.

Video: Yvonne Nelson’s reaction as caller calls her Ashawo

Video: Yvonne Nelson’s reaction as caller calls her Ashawo

An unidentified caller, a man called Yvonne Nelson on phone just to call her Ashawo. Well, Ashawo is a popular word used to refer to prostitutes.

According to the actress, she received a call from an unknown number, but still, decided to pick up. However, immediately after doing so, the man on the phone started raining insults on her. He called her names, among which he kept on repeating she is an ‘Ashawo’.

According to Yvonne Nelson, she, unfortunately, started recording the call only after he was halfway through with what he called to say. Nonetheless, he was basically attacking her for speaking up against President Mahama due to the energy crisis, Dumsor. So, all she said in response was “thank you.”

“This is an Abusive phone call I just received…unfortunately he had said so much before I started recording him, chanting about how Akuffo-addo can never be president, this is sad, to know that I speak for the Country and yet other individuals take it upon themselves to make it a political Affiliation. This is for all of US! We are the voice of the voiceless. It’s just sad we call these Guys our leaders #DumsorMustStop,” she posted.

Meanwhile, this happened in 2015 when Yvonne Nelson staged a demonstration dubbed #DumsorMustStop. She brought together her colleague celebrities and some Ghanaians to demonstrate against the then persistent energy crisis in Ghana.

My life is under threat after NPP deceived and used me for their 2020 campaign – 35-yr-old teacher

My life is under threat after NPP deceived and used me for their 2020 campaign – 35-yr-old teacher “I was paid GHC 300″

Nicholas, a 35-year-old teacher who campaigned for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) during the 2020 general elections says his life is under threat for promoting the NPP, the eventual winners of the presidential election.

He says people feel he is part of the economic problems they are facing currently following his campaign activities for the NPP.

Nicholas says he disguises himself by wearing nose mask and a cap whenever he gets out of his home for fear of being noticed and attacked.

He told TV3’s Armstrong Alogbor in an interview that “My major challenge is the threat. So any time I have to go out I have to put on the nose mask and sometimes the cap so that I have to disguise myself.

“Sometimes, I will be in the room, Friday, Saturday, Sunday without going out because I am afraid if I step out I don’t know what will happen to me. The moment they see you they are angry and they want to beat you because you are part of the reasons why they are suffering. Sometimes they will call you and threaten you.

“Sometimes my wife will [tell] me, when [I] am going and [I] have the money I should take take Uber and go out.”

He further indicated that he was paid ¢300for the billboard advert he did for the party.

“I was paid ¢300 for that billboard,” he said.

Hacker hacks Ed Sheeran and Lil Uzi Vert, sells their unreleased songs

Hacker hacks Ed Sheeran and Lil Uzi Vert, sells their unreleased songs but gets nabbed.

An unidentified hacker hacks Ed Sheeran and Lil Uzi Vert. Through his surreptitious activities, he was able to bypass the security systems of the two music icons.

Ed Sheeran and Lil Uzi were hacked for one thing, obviously their music. The hacker hacked into their private folders and stole their unreleased songs. Unluckily for the two, the hacker was not a staunch fan, who was just obsessed to hear their new songs before they were released.

Therefore, he sold the songs out, making a whopping 148,000 dollars in proceeds from the sale. Quite some cool cash from others’ intellectual property, right? Such illegality to get away with.

However, the hacker was arrested through intelligence from security agencies. He was finally sentenced to eighteen months in prison.

Stonebwoy reveals his late mother speaks to him every day despite her death.

Do you believe in ghosts or reincarnation? Well, I guess you have never encountered anything as such before, so let’s leave that for another day.

However, this is probably a case of any of the two as Stonebwoy says he speaks with his late mother every day. His mother is dead and yet he gets to talk to her every day. If I would guess again, then I would say you are shocked to hear that.

The Gidigba hitmaker told this to Kafui Dey in an interview on GTV Breakfast Show recently. He was answering whether she appears to him in his dreams.

Stonebwoy said his mother appears in his dreams every day and he gets to communicate with her anytime he wants. In fact, there are some things nobody tells him, but he hears them in his ear, from his late mother, he added.

Stonebwoy confesses his late mother is the reason for his success.

Ghana’s BET award-winning dancehall act, Stonebwoy reveals his success is due to his late mother’s support. His success story cannot be told without the mention of his mother’s name.

“If I ever made it in life, it is because of my late mother,” he said.

The dancehall singer further noted he is very close to his mother. He sighted how his mother slept on the hospital floor for months when he was bedridden due to the accident that affected his leg.

“when I had my accident as well and my leg got messed up, my mom was with me for six months at Korle Bu. She slept on the floor for 3 months. You people do not know the connection with my mom,” he added.

That is why he cannot take it if anybody speaks ill of his mother or his relationship with her. Meanwhile, he noted he wishes his mother was alive now to withness his success. The ‘Tuffseed’ hitmaker disclosed these in an interview with Kafui Dey on GTV Breakfast Show.
