An unidentified man has been arrested by police officers in Accra after he allegedly transformed a rented apartment into a fully functional bar and nightclub.
The suspect allegedly failed to engage in any discussion with his landlord after taking the bold decision to transform his rented apartment into a nightclub, which he actively promoted across his social media pages.
In a video posted online, the landlord stated that his tenant had failed to pay his rent for several months now and that all efforts to contact him had proved futile. He further stated that a lawsuit was filed against him to be arraigned before the court but failed to honour the call-up.
As the situation intensified, the landlord engaged police officials who stormed the property to arrest the suspect, and all his equipment and items were seized.
The tenant was actively using his residential apartment for economic gains without the knowledge of the landlord, customizing the apartment almost entirely to suit his preference.
The suspect was also allegedly advertising the rooms in the apartment as his private suites, offering overnight sleepovers and short stays for attendees of his club.
However, the suspect is in police custody, faced with multiple charges, waiting to commence the prosecution process.
