On July 11, 2025, Odelet released her fourth studio album “Radiance” and its dub version “Raindance In Dub.” It’s a pretty cool double release that really shows how much she’s grown as an artist. She recorded it with her company Everlasting Tape. She played almost every instrument herself, from the groovy bass to the sparkly guitars.
“Raindance” has this really pure, old-school vibe because they recorded it on tape using Larry Crane. Odelet mixes different styles like art pop, psychedelic folk, and electronic stuff. It sounds both classic and new. Some of the best songs are said to be the title track and Silver Lining, where you can hear her poetic lyrics and cool song structures.
The dub version is a total remix of the whole album, made to sound like it was done in the ’70s. Odelet used old-fashioned tape delay and reverb. The rhythms replays whiles the song disappear into thin air.
Everlasting Tape is also making films that go with the album, so “Raindance” is turning into something bigger than just music. People who’ve heard it early say it’s her most out-there music and an album you’ll want to listen to over and over again with headphones.
