Soon after the nomination list for the third edition of the 3 Music Awards was released, the exemption of Sarkodie’s BlackLove album was one of the major issues raised.
The multiple award-winning rapper, Sarkodie’s entire album, apart from his pre-released singles, was not nominated. This became even more evident when the album was not nominated in the Album of the year category.
Moreover, another major exemption for Sarkodie was the exclusion of his viral hit song, Oofeetsɔ.
However, Sarkodie rose above those odds to lead the table with the highest number of nominations. He got a total of 13 nods, double nominations in the same category inclusive.READ ALSO: Stonebwoy advises VGMA to lift the ban on he and Shatta Wale, see his reasons.
