Shatta Wale blasts Ghana over anti-LGBTQI+ bill “leave gays and lesbians alone and solve Ghana’s problems”

The recent brouhaha about the anti-LGBTQI+ bill has seen several celebrities sharing their opinionS on the issue. The most recent to do so is Ghana’s dancehall award-winner, Shatta Wale.

Shatta Wale thinks it makes no sense for Ghana to be bent on criminalizing the sexual acts of gays and lesbians when we are supposed to be enjoying absolute freedom. “…it’s a free world”

According to the dancehall crooner, Ghana has more important issues to solve. Therefore, since these people are adults, they should be allowed to choose their own sexual preferences. The country should rather focus on solving its countless problems. Besides, LGBTQI+ is not one of Ghana’s problems.

“People are grown, we should allow them to choose and decide what they want to do with their lives. There are more important issues we need to focus our attention on. There are many problems Ghana is faced with and LGBTQ is not one of them”
