President John Dramani Mahama has offered an exclusive gift for all Ghanaians as the country celebrates its 68th anniversary after independence.
All the major telecommunication companies in Ghana—MTN, Telecel, and AT—have adhered to the directives of President Mahama to offer data bundle packages at discounted prices.
The Minister for Communication, Digital Technology, and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George, revealed this initiative by the incumbent government in a post on X (formerly Twitter).
He also revealed that this initiative by the government is only a stepping stone towards building a technologically innovative country.
Customers are offered a 6GB internet bundle at a discounted price of GHS 10 across all networks in Ghana.
Sam George also revealed that the Ministry of Communication will roll out a strategic plan to permanently reduce the cost of data bundles on Friday, March 7, 2025, as revealed in the NDC’s campaign message to the Ghanaian populace.
Several netizen have expressed their gratitude for the kind gesture by the Mahama-led government, encouraging the government to roll out similar innovative initiatives to increase digitization in Ghana.
