Suzzy Pinamang, a student of Adventist Senior High School situated at Bantama was the victim of a shooting incident on campus.
This unfortunate incident occurred after a male colleague mistakenly shot a locally manufactured firearm while showing it off to his colleagues.
The suspect was arrested by the Ashanti Regional Police Command and the firearm was retrieved to serve as evidence as investigations are currently ongoing.
The 16-year-old girl sustained severe injuries and was reportedly admitted to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital where she received treatment.
However, the 16-year-old’s predicament has turned into her worst nightmare as she has completely lost sight.
Speaking in an interview, Suzzy revealed how her dreams have been completely shattered having to live the rest of her life blind.
Several individuals have sympathized with the victim urging her to remain strong during these daring moments in her life.
However, the suspect whose name has been withheld by officials is still in police custody aiding with investigations.
