Mawuli Semevor, a veteran Ghanaian movie actor was reported dead in the late hours of Thursday 20th February 21, 2025, after being hospitalized for over a week. The actor was reportedly involved in a domestic accident at his SSNIT flat residence at Adenta-Accra.
The veteran actor sustained severe injuries when his house was engulfed in flames while asleep. Following his accident, he was admitted to the Ridge hospital where he has since been receiving treatment.
Amid all efforts by doctors to save the actor’s life, he eventually gave up the ghost, leaving several Ghanaians in a state of grief.
Mawuli Semevor died, but his immense contribution to strengthening Ghana’s movie industry has etched his name in the hearts of many Ghallywood fans.
A few days before the actor’s sudden demise, colleague actors, Edinam Akatsi and Papa Nii paid him a visit at Ridge Hospital. They confirmed that he was in a stable condition and actively responding to medical treatment. His sudden demise has come as a shock to many.
