Michellar Releases “Aunque sea por una noche” Featuring Jiji

San Francisco-based artist Michellar makes her Spanish-language debut with “Aunque sea por una noche,” released across major streaming platforms on July 25, 2025. She joined hands with vocalist Jiji Picazo, perfectly blending Latin rock sounds with indie folk. The perfect sound piece produced by the duo offers a nostalgic experience.

The title of the song translates to “If It’s Only for One Night” in English. The entire lyrics were originally written in English before they were translated into Spanish after Michellar collaborated with Jiji. She ensured that her Spanish-Filipino heritage was woven into every verse of the song.

Michellar’s shift from Americana (“Intersection”) to Latin-infused balladry proves her artistic exuberance.

Childhood memories of her parents singing “Bésame Mucho” inspired the track’s romantic theme. Producer Lloyd Miller of Texas’ Spirit Song Studios also infused subtle nods to Santana and Andrea Bocelli’s emotive richness.

This song, recorded at Women’s Audio Mission (a San Francisco studio that helps women get into music tech), features real instruments like soft guitars and airy wind chimes. This fits the song’s idea that love doesn’t last forever, but it still leaves a mark. Jiji’s voice goes back and forth between sounding fragile and strong, which shows how you can enjoy something even when you know it will end.

Michellar’s “Aunque sea por una noche” is more than just a song; it connects cultures and generations and captures the beauty of short-lived love. Thanks to Jiji’s harmonies and the production that sounds like golden sunlight, this tune proves that some brief moments can last in a melody forever.
