The deceased, who is said to operate a reputable mobile money vending shop near Kwadaso Racecourse, is believed to have been a victim of a robbery attack last Saturday after returning from work with a substantial amount of money valued at about GHS 200,000.
Residents of the area prompted authorities after noticing a stench smell enveloping the compound of the deceased. His lifeless body was discovered on his bed with his throat slit, as well as several bruises on his body.
This tragic incident is believed to have occurred during the late hours of Saturday, March 8th, after “Junior” returned from his work place.

The National Police Service has launched an investigation into “Junior’s” murder case and has assured the public to apprehend the culprits involved in his murder.
This incident is evidence of the risks faced by mobile money vendors and traders who carry a substantial amount of money on their own to conduct their business operations.
We call upon the security services in the country to provide a long-term solution to safeguard the lives and possessions of such people, making them invulnerable to such attacks in the future.
