Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy got nominations at the 2021 International Reggae and World Music Awards (IRAWMA). This time around, they were not the only ones nominated for the awards. Sarkodie and DJ Switch also got nominated.
Shatta Wale was nominated in two categories, Best African Dancehall Entertainer and Best Virtual Entertainer of the Year categories. Stonebwoy was also nominated in the Best African Dancehall Entertainer category along with Shatta Wale.
Whilst Sarkodie and DJ Switch were nominated in the Best Virtual Showcase/Concert and Best Young Entertainer categories, respectively.

Another Ghanaian who got a nomination was Kwame Yeboah, who grabbed a nod in the Best Instrumentalist category.

The 39th edition of Reggae’s music biggest night, IRAWMA, comes off on Sunday, May 2, 2021, in Kingston, Jamaica. This year’s show will be virtual as it would be broadcasted.
