Sarkodie gives Eno Barony the crown amid the Sista Afia and Freda Rhymz beef

Over the past few weeks, there has been a musical feud among Ghana’s female musicians. The trio Sista Afia, Eno Barony, and Freda Rhymz are the key parties to this musical beef.

The battle of supremacy, which is seemingly the first of its kind among female acts in Ghana, started with a track from Sista Afia. Sista Afia, who is known to be a singer, rather rapped in the said song dubbed WTF. She was alleged to have taken swipes at her fellow female acts in the song. Following those shots, Freda Rhymz and Eno Barony being rappers had to react.

‘Nominate’ hitmaker, Stonebwoy in a recent tweet has seemingly thrown a subtle jab at his arch-rival cum good friend, Shatta Wale. In a rather odd tweet by Stonebwoy, his comment indirectly suggested that, Shatta Movement (SM) fans are thieves.

Moreover, Stonebwoy made that comment under a post that showed a thief being manhandled. The man weeping in great pain was according to the post, was a thief caught at Teshie. He was being made to carry very heavy metals as punishment for committing the crime.

The third edition of the highly prestigious music awards scheme, 3 Music Awards happened at the Fantasy Studios, Accra. First in history for an awards event to be held in Ghana with no live audience, the awards event came off as a virtual event.

The awards night was dubbed the Stay At Home Edition, and it was such an incredible experience watching from home. Naa Ashorkor and Jay Foley were the hosts. The night saw performances from some of Ghana’s top musical acts. Kidi opened the show with a sweet performance with the sensational Cina Soul.

Becca premieres ‘Overcome’ on BET UK to support Covid-19 fight

Internationally acclaimed Ghanaian songstress, Becca has officially released a new song, ‘Overcome’. Though her last single, ‘No One’ sparked some controversy, Becca presents this tune purposely to support the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

Moreover, the singer premiered the new song just today on BET UK after an Instagram live chat with Hemah K on BET Breaks Home Sessions.

Speaking about the song, Becca stated that it is geared towards supporting the Covid-19 Trust Fund of Ghana. And all proceeds from the song will be donated into the fund.

3 Music Awards 2020 comes off this Saturday, May 2.

The third edition of the annual 3 Music Awards will be coming off this Saturday, May 2 despite the coronavirus pandemic. This comes right after the ban on social gathering was extended for two more weeks. The organizers still want to push through with the event. However, they will be holding it as a virtual event.

Dubbed Live Virtual Music Awards, the awards will take place at the premises of Joy Prime with a very limited number of people excluding any audience. It will broadcast live on Joy Prime and the official social media handles of the scheme, Facebook and Instagram on 3MUSIC and 3MUSICAWARDS respectively.
