Sarkodie won big at the last 3 Music Awards, winning five awards on the night. As we gear up for the next edition of the awards this year, he has finally received his plaques.
He won Music Man of the Year, Hiplife/Hip-hop Act Of the Year, Best Collaboration Of The Year, Fan Army Of The Year and his personal favourite, Best Rap Performance.

As Sarkodie received his plaques, he noted that he might be awarded in other categories, but there is only one award he always looks out for. Thus, the Best Rapper award, which 3 Music Awards dubs ‘Best Rap Performance’.
That is why as he unboxed his plaques, he noted that he prefers the inscription on the rap category plaque to be ‘Best Rapper’, instead of ‘Best Rap Performance’. Sarkodie then took the opportunity to tell 3 Music Awards to consider making the award’s inscription ‘Best Rapper’.

From Sarkodie’s own words, he cherishes the best rapper award more than any other award he receives.
Meanwhile, the CEO of 3 Music Networks, Baba Sadiq Abdulai met Sarkodie last night and officially presented his plaques.
