Let’s put politics aside, humble ourselves and beg for help to save the cedi – Prince David Osei cries out to NPP.
Recently, Bloomberg declared the Ghana Cedi as the worst performing currency in the world. The cedi performed too badly against the dollar, even beating Sri Lanka’s rupee. In fact, the cedi has lost 45.1% of its value in 2022 alone.
In the wake of these woes of the Ghanaian economy, actor Prince David Osei calls out his party, the incumbent NPP government. He begged them to swallow their pride and seek help to save the country from the current excruciating hardships.
Thus, Prince David Osei asked them to put politics aside and humble themselves for help from able minds. They should pursue whoever has the requisite knowledge to save the cedi from depreciating further. This is the only way to stabilize the economy, it must be all-inclusive, he noted.
He tweeted: “CAN WE ALL PUT ASIDE POLITICS, HUMBLE OURSELVES AND SEEK HELP FROM WHOEVER HAS THE IDEAS OR IN-DEPTH KNOWLEDGE ON HOW STOP THE FURTHER DEPRECIATION OF OUR CURRENCY AND STABILIZE OUR ECONOMY.. BECAUSE AT THIS POINT IT’S ALL INCLUSIVE 🇬🇭”

Meanwhile, the popular actor recently came under massive attack for finally admitting that his party has failed Ghanaians. This is because he was a strong opponent of the #FixTheCountry agenda, a youth movement for better governance.
So, when he finally admitted the NPP’s flaws, the youth thought he probably came too late to the party. He was initially too blinded by his party colors and it is now too late for him to join them.
