Post Death Soundtrack “Veil Lifter” Release

Post Death Soundtrack’s fourth album, “Veil Lifter” originally released on various streaming platforms on April 16th, 2024 is a combination of doom, hardcore, grunge, and thrash into a whole new level of musical excellence.

Veil Lifter features about ten (10) soul-touching and spiritual elevation tunes drawing inspiration from Queens of the Stone Age, The Stooges, Alice in Wonderland, Black Sabbath, and Nirvana.

The primary concept following the composition of this high spirit album is based on the Eastern philosophy-inspired phrase that says, “Lifting the Veil of Ignorance”.

The songs came together quickly, with drums, rhythm guitars, and some bass arranged in intense bursts. Steve’s vocal layers and fuzzy bass lines brought the album to life. Bringing in Casey Lewis added intensity and personality to the record. Moore references the hyena as a symbol for the band, representing the outsider taking down the mighty lion while laughing.

Steve, a member of the band stated that “Veil Lifter” is the album he has always wanted to make. His work is intended to be completely uncensored, unashamedly dark, and raw emotionally, and therefore, cathartic and freeing. The album was written during difficult times, including isolation, depression, addiction, chaos, burned bridges, health failures, and perseverance. In many ways, it’s an invocation of protection and spiritual weaponry at a time when it was greatly needed.
