Self-acclaimed queen of Ghana music, Wendy Shay is set to take the issue of banning celebrities[including herself] to court. The singer’s furious reaction follows the announcement of a new guideline by the Ghana Gaming Commission yesterday, which bans celebrities from advertising or endorsing betting companies.
Wendy Shay took to her twitter handle in the mid-day hours of today, to express her gross disappointment in the government agencies that banned her and her colleagues. Thus, she expressed great dissatisfaction with the decision by the Food and Drugs Authority(FDA) and the Ghana Gaming Commission, which bans them from advertising alcohol and betting companies, respectively.
Moreover, the ‘Stevie Wonder’ hitmaker threatened that she is taking both the FDA and the Ghana Gaming Commission to the human rights court. She then implored her fellow celebrities to set aside all their differences for them to fight the unfavourable system of the government.
