It’s been 20 years of crowning true beauty, the beauty that sparkles with confidence, intelligence, and positive impact. The prestigious beauty pageant, Miss Malaika Ghana, which happens to be the first reality TV show in Ghana is 20 years today.
This year, Miss Malaika Ghana celebrates its 20th anniversary, the Emerald Season. In celebration of the glorious anniversary, the Emerald Queen would be crowned in a grand celebration and homecoming of past queens.
The Miss Malaika Ghana Emerald Season grand finale and Homecoming happened last night at the Grand Arena, AICC. The grand night of blissful celebrations saw musical performances from Adina, Kidi, Kelvyn Boy, and Lasmid.

Zakiya was crowned winner of Miss Malaika Ghana 2022, the Emerald Season. She beat competition from Yayra, Becky, Dede, and Julia to emerge winner.
Moreover, Zakiya becomes the first Muslim to win Miss Malaika Ghana. Thus, since its inception 20 years ago, a Muslim has never won the beauty pageant until now.
