Dr UN arrested in Kumasi over fake award

Viral fake UN awards scheme schemer, Dr Kwame Owusu Fordjour popularly known as Dr UN has been arrested.

The awards fraudster was arrested at the premises of Hello FM in Kumasi, according to reports reaching The Premier Hub of Pop culture, Urban Entertainment, and Lifestyle.

Further information gathered indicates that upon arrest, Dr UN questioned the basis of his arrest even though the police had an arrest warrant.

For further clarity on the matter, Peace FM’s Ashanti Regional Correspondent, Samson K. Nyamekeye revealed that Dr UN for some time now has been declared wanted.

Moreover, it was also brought to bare that, Dr UN’s arrest was in connection with his failure to oblige bailing conditions after he was arrested some time back. He was arrested for organising a fake awards scheme at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi.

However, Dr UN was later granted bail at the Magistrate Court in Asokore-Mampong, but failed to meet the bail conditions, which is the reason for his arrest today.

Stonebwoy finally speaks about attacking Sarkodie’s manager, Angelo

The biggest controversy, days before Sarkodie’s show, BlackLove virtual concert was Stonebwoy’s attack on Sarkodie’s manager, Angelo.

However, Stonebwoy apart from debunking the rumour about the incident that suggested he pulled out a gun, did not speak a word about what transpired between him and Angelo. He remained entirely silent on the issue even after Sarkodie addressed it in a press release after the show successfully ended.

Stonebwoy finally speaks

However, it seems Stonebwoy has finally found his voice on the issue as he was seen in a recent interview, addressing it for the very first time. Stonebwoy revealed that he waited for six hours at the event grounds without performing. He continued by clarifying that he did not deliberately hit Angelo’s eye nor slap him on purpose, it was a mistake, so he apologised to Angelo because that was not his intention.

“If it is that you said that my hand hit your eye or I slapped you knowingly, forgive.”

Moreover, Stonebwoy further revealed that they disregarded him when it was actually their show, and the most disappointing part was that they took the case to the police.

The ‘Nominate‘ hitmaker then noted that it should be taken that he went to disrupt Sarkodie’s show, he rather went there to show maximum love.

Stonebwoy on not getting to perform ‘Strength of a Woman”

Meanwhile, ending his submission, Stonebwoy finally added that it was rather unfortunate Sarkodie and he could not perform their Blackove feature song, Strength of a Woman. Which he explained makes him feel sad because Sarkodie himself knows a lot happened before they were finally able to record that song.

Shatta Wale finally reacts to being banned by the Ghana Gaming Commission

Earlier this week, there was a statement from the Ghana Gaming Commission, announcing it’s new guideline that bans celebrities from advertising for betting companies.

Following the announcement of the ban, several celebrities have reacted to it, expressing their displeasure with the decision. One of the hardest hit by this ban, Shatta Wale, who was already advertising for Bet Planet has finally also reacted.

The dancehall award-winner was seen in a recent video reacting to issue, where he also expressed his disappointment in the decision. Shatta Wale stated that it is very sad that the government agencies have decided to extend the ban from advertising alcohol to betting. He also added that he was disappointed in his colleagues in the Ghanaian creative arts industry for sitting down for this to happen.

However, he noted that though the ban may not affect him that badly, he can not say the same for his colleagues. For which reason, he advocates that Ghanaians must wake up and stop the unfair decisions made against Ghanaian celebrities.

Moreover, just like Wendy Shay did yesterday, Shatta Wale also admonished his colleagues not to be indifferent about this issue. Thus, they should not act unconcerned about the issue like most of them did in the case of alcohol advertisement ban.
