In less than 24 hours of declaring his support for the LGBTQIA+ community in Ghana via an Instagram post, Michael Essien has now deleted the post.

His post was in solidarity with the 67 globally influential personalities who wrote to Ghana’s president, asking him to protect Gay rights.
However, hours later, Essien has taken down the post, as it can not be found his Instagram handle anymore. Why did Essien delete the post? Your guess is as good as mine.
Meanwhile, the 67 influential world personalities, who signed the letter backing Gay rights in Ghana, included Idris Elba, Boris Kodjo and Naomi Campbel.
Though Essien has now deleted the post, you can check out what he posted below.
