Ghanaian legendary football icon Michael Essien is the latest to declare his support for the LGBTQIA plus community in Ghana.
The footballer joins an ever-growing list of Ghanaian celebrities and renown personalities who support the rights of the sexual minorities in the country.

He made a post recently on his Instagram handle, stating that they have seen, heard and support the LGBTQIA plus community. The community must be accepted in Ghana because Ghana supports equality.
Meanwhile, Michael Essien’s declaration of support for the LGBTQIA+ community follows the signing of a letter backing Gay rights in Ghana by 67 influential world personalities, including Idris Elba, Boris Kodjo and Naomi Campbel.
