International Women’s Day: Maloa Foundation empowers women and needs to be empowered to do more

A day to celebrate women, encourage them and challenge them to do more. Today is International Women’s Day.

As we commemorate this special day, it is in place to talk about how we could continue to empower women. Maloa Foundation also wishes to commend women for their diverse efforts in making the world a better place.

Meanwhile, civil society organisations like them dedicate a lot of effort to women empowerment initiatives; worth talking about.

The Maloa Foundation, for instance, as part of their women empowerment bit as a philanthropic organisation, trains women in various handiworks. It has also trained several women in the inner workings of solar panel production. These ladies received training on how to build solar panels, install and repair them.

However, just like any other organisation, the foundation is limited by resources. That is why as we celebrate International Women’s Day today, they would like to use this opportunity to throw more like on their initiatives and also use the medium to solicit support.
