US Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials have released footage of the arrest of 32-year-old Kwadwo Boaitey Frimpong, a Ghanaian student in the US, for the possession of child pornography.
Mr. Boaitey, who arrived in the US in 2019 on an F-1 visa for an advanced education, was subject to investigation after suspected explicit content was found in his Google Drive.
This discovery by officials was further investigated by ICE officials. A raid on his Maryland apartment revealed over 2,000 images and about 100 videos on his laptop. This explicit content included videos of infants being sexually abused, a shocking discovery to many.
He was subsequently brought before a jury, where he pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 24 months in prison.
However, the suspect was remanded into ICE custody pending removal and deportation proceedings. Check out the video below.
