The 25th edition of the Ghana Journalists Association(GJA) Awards took place yesterday, Saturday, October 24.

The annual awards event, which recognises and celebrates the very in Ghana’s media landscape was held at the at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel.

The 2020 GJA Awards was held under the theme: “COVID-19 and credible presidential and parliamentary elections: The media factor.”

At the end of the event, Sampson Lardi Anyenini emerged as the overall Journalist of the Year 2019.

Moreover, Media General Group won big on the night, as it’s subsidiary, TV3 emerged Best Television Station of the Year in English for 2019 and several other awards won by it’s staff. Also, UTV won Best TV Station of the Year (Akan) alongside many other awards.

Meanwhile, other big winners were Joy News, Adom TV, GTV, Metro TV and GHONE TV. Check out the full list of 25th GJA Award winners below:
