The grand finale of the 9th season of MTN Hitmaker took place tonight. After several weeks of grooving performances, it was now time to settle the scores on who wins MTN Hitmaker 9.
The competition began with 12 contestants. Thus, Bryan, Josh Black, Nessa Cute, Koby Tuesday, Achiaa, RBJ, Adepa, Mimi, GabiNova, Pashyn, Jimi and Kwacy Boat. Along the line, eight of them had to kiss the competition goodbye, leaving Koby Tuesday, Achiaa, Adepa and GabiNova.

Mr Drew opened the show for the grand finale. The finalists then took turns to rock the stage with their first performances for the night, after performing Kidi‘s ‘One Man’ together.
For their second performance, the contestants performed their own songs. But that was not before we saw performances from past winners Kurl Songx and Lasmid, last year’s winner.

Kidi was the show stopper for the night, he lighted up the stage with a terrific performance before the announcement of the winners.

Third runner up
Achiaa received a cash prize of GH¢10,000.
Second Runner up
GabiNova got a cash prize of GH¢ 15,000.
First Runner up
Koby Tuesday also took home GH¢ 20,000 cash prize.
MTN Hitmaker 9 Winner
The winner of MTN Hitmaker 9, Adepa took the ultimate prize of GH¢ 120,000 Recording Contract.
Moreover, Mix Master Garzy received the Beat-maker of the season award for producing Adepa’s songs.
