Shatta Wale has finally been granted bail, along with his three accomplices. This follows the four’s one-week remand in the Ankaful Prison.
The Dancehall act was arrested on October 19, 2021, along with three others for faking a gunshot attack on Shatta Wale. They were remanded into prison after their first court appearance on October 21, 2021, where they pleaded not guilty.

However, at their second court hearing today, Shatta Wale and his three accomplices were granted bail at GHC 100,000 each. Their reappearance took place at an Accra circuit court, after which the judge finally granted their release on bail.
Shatta Wale was charged with the publication of false news and causing fear and panic. Whilst his accomplices, Kojo Owusu Koranteng, Idris Yusif, and Eric Venator were charged with abetment of Shatta Wale’s crime.

Meanwhile, the case has been adjourned to November 9, 2021. Where a final judgment may be passed.
