The organizers of the Ghana Movie Awards have released the nomination list for the 2021 edition. The list announced on Friday, saw many of Ghana’s movie talents grab nods in various categories.
Aside from the usual big names in the Ghanaian movie industry, the list also saw musician, Kidi (Dennis Dwanena for Sugar) and French Ambassador to Ghana, Anne Sophie Avé (for Fire And Ice) being nominated. Thus, they were nominated in the Discovery of the Year category.

Other nominees in the category were Eugene Boateng (Borga), PY Addo Boateng (Coming To Africa), Ashley Oluigbo (Uncharted Path), Nana Yeboah (Shemale), Jude Arnold (Borga), Andy Tetteh (Hog Tie), Kwaku Brown (Coming To Africa), and Sherifatu Issah (Savannah).
Meanwhile, The annual Ghana Movie Awards comes off on the 30th of December, 2021. Last year’s awards night was held virtually due to the covid-19 pandemic. However, the organizers promise a much better show this year. Check out the list of nominees below.
