The 21st edition of Ghana’s biggest music night, Vodafone Ghana Music Awards(VGMA) was held on Saturday, 29 August. The night which was the day 2 and final night for the two-day awards night for 2020 VGMA dubbed the VGMA weekend just came to an end.
The show, held virtually this year, with no public attendance due to the Covid-19 pandemic took place at the Accra International Conference Center (AICC). The night’s event was strictly by invitation and some invited celebrities, some of whom were spotted on the glitzy VGMA red carpet were the only ones in attendance.

The main event was hosted by ace broadcasters, KOD and Berla Mundi whiles Regina Van-Helvert and James Gardiner hosted the red carpet. Performances were seen from EL, Celestine Donkor, Epixode, Kofi Kinaata, Kuami Eugene, Kidi, Adina, King Promise, Darko Vibes, Medikal, Akosua Agyapong, Rex Omar, Amandzeba, and Amerado also came through with a VGMA edition of his ‘Yeete Nsem’.
Finally, as the night came to a close, Kuami Eugene emerged as the Artiste of the Year, beating the likes of Sarkodie, Kofi Kinaata, Diana Hamilton and Medikal. However, the list of VGMA 2020 award winners saw Kofi Kinaata and Sarkodie also winning big, took home 3 and 2 awards respectively.
