Beyoncé and Jay-Z in Kasoa Budumburam 2009.

Recently, I came across a supposed picture of Jay-Z and Beyonce in Kasoa, Budumburam camp. The caption read “Beyonce and Jay Z in Kasoa Budumbram 2009”. This pricked me to delve into the issue, digging into how true it was, this is what I found out.

Beyoncé and Jay Z were in Ghana

It is actually true that Jay-Z and Beyonce were in Ghana. Thus, the last time Jay Z and Beyoncé were in Ghana was in October 2006. Jay Z was on his African Pilgrimage Tour with Beyonce Knowles, his girlfriend by then, and an entourage of 30.

Moreover, Jay Z performed in Ghana in an event organized by Charterhouse at the Accra International Conference Center (AICC) and commissioned some UN projects in Ghana. Chris Attoh even had an interview with Jay Z following that appearance in Ghana. Watch Chris Attoh’s interview with Jay Z below:

About Jay Z and Beyoncé in Kasoa Budumburam camp

Haven’t said that, how about Jay Z and Beyoncé in Kasoa Budumburam camp? Well, I could not confirm that, as there was no clear proof of that fact. Nonetheless, weighing the possibility of Jay Z and Beyoncé visiting Ghana’s Budumburam camp, here is what I found out.

The recent picture of reference[above] said they were in Ghana in 2009, but 2006 is the year I found as the year they were in Ghana. So, it could not have been the case that Jay Z and Beyoncé visited the Budumburam camp during their 2006 visit to Ghana, Africa. That is if the year quoted in the picture of reference is correct.

However, for me, this is still a developing story, so I would not want to draw any conclusion. Therefore, if you happen to have any further proof that they were in Ghana in 2009 at the Budumburam Camp, kindly send it across to me. Thus, via email, ichrisgh@gmail.com or any of our social media handles. This is for the culture. Thank you.
